Maxime Trijol VSOP Grande Champagne Cognac
Details
Maxime Trijol cognacs are all crafted from a blend of lots of different years. Their strategy is to age their Cognacs much longer than the minimum required by the regulation, especially for the eau-de-vie crafted from the Grande Champagne. Generally these cognacs require long ageing in casks to achieve full maturity.
Distillation:
The wine is transformed into cognac by the time honoured process of double distillation, the Charente method of double heating in the traditionnal pot still.
Maturation:
In french oak barrels mainly from the Limousin forest.
Tasting notes:
Golden yellow.
Vanilla, spice and some dried fruit on the initial aromas. Well-structured body with a light and elegant touch. Finishes well with a little tickle of fire from the spirit.
