Details
The latest edition of Midleton’s flagship annual release, Midleton Very Rare 2026 showcases the blending expertise and craftsmanship that have defined the series since its inception in 1984.
Created from a carefully selected combination of single pot still and single grain Irish whiskeys, this vintage brings together five distinct distillate styles matured in ex-American oak casks. The result is a whiskey that balances elegance and complexity, with layers of sweet oak, creamy vanilla, citrus and delicate floral notes.
Master Distiller Kevin O’Gorman has refined the composition for the 2026 release, increasing the influence of both lighter pot still whiskeys and carefully matured grain whiskeys. These adjustments enhance the whiskey’s depth and character while maintaining the refined and harmonious style for which Midleton Very Rare is renowned.
Presented in the annual vintage format, this release continues one of Irish whiskey’s most celebrated traditions.
