The Mitchell’s Glengyle blend is the first blend to be made up entirely of Campbeltown malts - Kilkerran, from Mitchell’s Glengyle Distillery, makes up the bulk of it along with some Springbank and a touch of Longrow to add a nice smoky edge to the final blend. The malt component makes up 40% with the other 60% being grain whisky sourced from outwith Campbeltown.
Colour: Pale golden straw
Nose: Light and sweet, reminiscent of confectionary. With time to breathe develops aromas of marzipan and ripe soft fruits.
Palate: On the palate it is smooth and light with a slight smokiness towards the finish.
Finish: Leaves a nice malty sweetness on the palate. Very drinkable!.
