Released at the same time as the Cambus, hence 3rd and 4th in the series
This Black Mortlach is a Vintage 1989, and aged for 30 years before being bottled in September 2019.
Official Tasting Notes:
Nose: Initially dry, warming to a gentle spiciness with apple peel and honeyed barley.
Palate: Sweet and creamy with butter biscuits, nutmeg, milk chocolate shavings and charred oak.
Finish: Lingers on and on with honeycomb, brown sugar and toasted almonds.
Distilled at Mortlach, and bottled by Douglas Laing.
