Mossburn 12 Year Old, Foursquare Rum Finish

The Mossburn Cask Collaboration Series is a testament to enduring friendships, bringing together the knowledge, craft and experience of two producers from different categories. This is a meeting of inquisitive minds and iconic spirits.

This collaboration with Foursquare is the first in the series. The spirit started life as a classic expression of Speyside Malt Whisky, first aged for 12 years in ex-bourbon casks before re-aging in American oak casks which previously contained mature Foursquare rums. These barrels were hand selected from the Foursquare Distillery in St. Phillip, Barbados.

Their Master Blender chose a number of mature Single Malt Whiskies from different Speyside distilleries that illustrate the typical Speyside Malt flavours of honey, spice and delicate floral nuttiness, blended to perfectly match the rich complexity and Muscovado notes that only a fine rum finish can bring, resulting in a whisky of intriguing depth.

This is a limited-edition bottling issued from a batch of only 38 barrels. Like all of their whiskies, this spirit of intrigue was bottled without any colouring or chill filtration.
