Rosebank 31 Year Old Release Two
calculated at 1.5 bottles for shipping purposes (due to weight)
The 31 Year Old, their second global release, is comprised of scarce casks that were filled just before the Rosebank Distillery was mothballed in 1993. Despite spending over three decades in casks, this Lowland single malt retains a bright and zesty nose, with hints of lime and lemongrass.
This light, vibrant profile continues onto the palate, where mint and chamomile are met with more robust notes of leather and banana bread. The dram finishes with long herbal notes, sweet peaches, and a hint of oak.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Citrus burst, lime, lemongrass and coriander seed, clove with soft vanilla and sugar coated almonds
Palate: Fantastic age while still light and vibrant, mint, camomile with leather, berry and banana bread
Finish: Sweetens with hints of peach, oak and long herbal notes
