This is now the 2016 release.
Nose - Earthy, honeycomb, hints of menthol, marzipan and sugar coated almonds. Let it breathe to reveal the traditional salt and brine notes.
Palate - Salted caramel to the fore. More of that honeycomb are fairly prominent. Not as earthy as the nose may suggest, more lemon zest, nutty and spicy in character to really get the taste buds working.
Finish - Toffee, salt, brine and hints of peat from this true Campbeltown classic.
We now have the make up of the product - 80% Sherry Casks and 20% Bourbon Casks.
