Springbank 1995 23 Year Old, Old & Rare
Details
Hunter Laing & Co. Ltd proudly offer this fine example of the distiller's art as a special selection from their oldest stocks of whisky. No water has been added to reduce its strength, as the angels' share has already taken care of that. No caramel is added, so that you can see its pure and natural colour. They have chosen to bottle this malt without chill-filtration in the old fashioned and traditional style. By doing so, they leave in all the distiller's preferred qualities apparent on the nose, palate and finish which is self-evident when you remove the cork.
One of only 136 bottles available world wide from a port cask.
Distilled: 1995
Bottled: 2019
Tasting Notes:
This amber whisky from a port barrel has a nose of blackberries, menthol and dark chocolate. The palate is full and creamy with notes of apple strudel, vanilla cream and toffee sauce. The finish is long, with lingering spice and oak.
