This whisky is one of 1200 bottles released worldwide, the 2020 release of the Springbank 25YO.
The cask make up is 50% Bourbon and 50% Sherry.
Tasting Notes:
Nose - Initially parma violets and rhubarb custard creams. A fresh spritz of grapefruit followed by a malty honeycomb sweetness.
Palate - Maturity and complexity at its best. A rich and chewy palate with vanilla, fudge, tobacco and cured meats.
Finish - Oh yes, it's definitely a true Springbank with those coastal and earthy dunnage warehouse notes combining with honey glazed ham and waxy orange rind at the very end.
