Details
Douglas Laing & Co acquired Strathearn Distillery in 2019, adding ‘Distiller’ to their title. Located in Highland Perthshire and is one of Scotland’s smallest Distilleries.
Strathearn is produced by hand, rather than an automated distillation process which involves touch, taste, smell, sight and sound.
The scale of production at Strathearn and the limited nature of this release is a key factor in terms of the brand positioning.
Total production equates to no more than a barrel of spirit produced each day.
Strathearn uniquely uses Maris Otter malt to produce a creamy, malty new make spirit.
Nose: Anticipate a rich malted barley depth with gentle oak
