Details
Tamdhu Distillery was one of several to be built along Strathspey railway line, which at one time played such an important part in the whisky industry. In 2011 the distillery was purchased by Ian Macleod Distilleries Ltd.
Distilled in 1971, this rare expression has been matured in a refill sherry butt. The whisky has sweet sherry influences with tropical fruit aromas and an underlying delicate menthol note. On the palate, there is cracked black pepper initially followed by sweet ripe banana and fresh lime juice flavours. This is followed by a long and smooth creamy milk chocolate finish.
Condition Report: Some marks on label, excellent condition for a bottle of this age.
