Tamdhu Quercus Alba Distinction, Limited Release 2

Tamdhu matured in American oak has a wonderfully distinctive profile - it's noticeably different from their European oak maturations. Quercus Alba has a tight grain, ideal for crafting quality casks. The oloroso sherry then modifies and seasons the toasted oak before the cask's long journey to Tamdhu, where their new-make spirit is filled. Overtime, the combination of casks and spirit imports vanilla and rich fruit flavours, along with a wonderfully natural amber colour.

Tasting notes:
Nose: The welcoming warmth of malt, vanilla and spiced oak, then orange and mint.

Palate: Soft oak, damsons, dark chocolate - and a rich, luxurious mouthfeel.

Finish: Almost endless sherries oak, giving way to figs and golden syrup.
