The Lakes Distillery, The One Orange Wine Cask

The One Collection is a range of fine blended whiskies showcasing the role of innovative cask seasoning in flavour elevation.

Limited to only 3,840 bottles in the UK, this release of The One is a showcase of flavours derived from first-fill American oak casks, seasoned with an exceptionally rare aromatised wine, known as 'Vino de Naranja' from Huelva in Andalucia.

Country marmalade, butterscotch and hints of dried tobacco on the nose lead to a palate of candied oranges, tropical fruits with a swirl of gentle peat smoke and a smooth, buttery and clean finish.

Non-chill filtered for a richer mouthfeel and fuller flavour, with only the natural colours derived from their oak casks in every bottle.

This release of The One is a singular blend of select grain and malt Scotch whiskies from Speyside and Islay with The Lakes Single Malt at its heart.
