A gorgeous 16 year old Tobermory single malt Scotch whisky, which was matured in a single Sherry butt from June 1996 to April 2013.
Tobermory is a sleeping giant of the whisky world. This highland malt was formerly known as Ledaig, and sits on the beautiful coast of the isle of Mull.
Distilled June 1994, Cask no 5010.
On the nose there is aburst of peat with sea air. A warm palate, with hints of mint, fudge, cereal, and a flirting of nutmeg. A velvet texture which has gentle smoke, subtle sweetness and a smooth finish.
A wee gem.
