Tormore 10 Year Old, Blueprint 01, Cream Sherry Cask

Tormore’s new make spirit is characterized by notes of pears, nectarines and walnuts. Though elegant, with a balance of autumnal and stoned fruits, it also has depth and weight of character. Much of this style is driven by the fruit driven wash but also created by the large purifiers on each still that allow for maximum reflux and copper contact. This focusses the distillate toward the softer fruity flavours.

As they build their future core range of whiskies, Elixir Distillers has been carefully managing existing stocks, enhancing and focusing on these core spirit driven flavours enhanced by specific wood profiles that will become the building blocks for future of Tormore single malts.

Blueprint is an opportunity to explore their flavour library, focusing on one maturation style at a time showing the different directions this largely unknown malt can be taken. Each release is an amazing standalone whisky but together they make up a Blueprint to the future of Tormore.
