Tullibardine 7 Year Old, Dram Mor Single Cask #144
Tullibardine Distillery founded in 1949 in Blackford, Perth and Kinross, Scotland, was set up to produce a light, nutty malt to be used young and aged in refill casks for private labels. Now owned by Picard Vins & Spiritueux, France, Tullibardine malt is famed for high-toned floral notes, suitable to go into first fill casks and proneness to any type of wine finish.
Cask Number: #144
Cask Type: First fill Palo Cortado cask
Bottles: 267
Colour: Fresh Cut Hay
Nose: Creamy and sweet with elements of caramel, crisp orange, gingery and nutty. After some time to breath rich honey comes through. Elegant and delicate, but not too dry.
Palate: Lighter than you might expect. Vanilla tablet, toffee honey and a touch of testiness clashes beautifully with nutty sweetness and gingery notes. Subtle butterscotch hides in the background. Good richness, depth and intensity.
Finish: Lively and playful. Sweet nut brittle gives way to drying toffee and a pleasant ginger nip.
