Behold Rum Sponge Edition No.22! A single refill barrel of 1998 Uitvlugt from Guyana, bottled at 25 years of age and featuring about 1.5 degrees of reduction down to our preferred bottling strength of 60%. This cask spent about two years in Guyana before being banished to the dis-United Kingdom.
This is a large and chunky rum! Embrace it and yield to the feeling of being placed in a protective head lock by a gym-hewn anthropomorphic pickle with intimidating arm tattoos.
Experience with hushed awe such flavours as drinking cask-aged seawater, being miniaturised and inserted into the event horizon of a black olive, being shot with a grapefruit and sipping bandage distillate in the tropical evening sun.
