Wee Mongrel 21 Year Old, Little Brown Dog
The Tasting Notes
There's a certain Edrington-y-ness to it perhaps, total guess of course.... Raspberry Jam, panettone, nutmeg
Whisky and sherry, you know, I think this could catch on. Dark cherries, dark chocolate, light tobacco.
Red fruit tea
Details
Their first 70cl Wee Mongrel whisky!
This time aged for 21 years in oloroso and PX. Cask strength , ex Edrington stock as before but there is a grain component to it.
They don't have the detail to give the precise breakdown otherwise they would provide it but be assured this is still rich and predominantly malt content. Is it good enough to be a wee mongrel? They wouldn't dare bottle it if it wasn't! We know the predecessors to this release have crazy reputations, it's something that always makes us nervous about maintaining, but they are proud to call this batch 3. The stock for this now is getting so expensive there might not be a batch 4, but if they can find a way they will.
Original artwork by local artist Katie Watson as on the previous releases but this time in a fetching orange!
