Tasting notes:
Colour: Early spring dandelion honey.
Nose: What an odd smoke, so savoury and delicious, like a really good bacon.
Palate: Liquorice, gentian root and gentle smoke, the taste is so different to the nose it’s shocking. Sweet, bitter, spicy and rooty, unexpectedly delightful.
Finish: A very delicate cigarette ash with oily bitter sweetness and spiciness that slowly drifts off, leaving sweet, savoury smoke that is both confusing and delightful, lingering on the palate long, long after the dram is done.
