Wolfburn Small Batch No. 318

The sixth in Wolfburn's small-batch series, Batch 318 has been crafted from a combination of lightly-peated spirit, matured for a little over seven years in first fill oloroso sherry butts, and spirit matured for seven years in first-fill bourbon barrels. These casks produced just 4,800 bottles in total and the result is a sweet, rounded, sumptuous whisky with a peerless depth of flavour.

Tasting notes:
On the nose, figs and apricots mix with soft tones of peat smoke. On the palate the depth of flavour is outstanding; you'll find honey-laced porridge, softly mixed with spices including cinnamon and ginger, all overlaid by sherry sweetness. At the finish, dried fruit and caramel flavours are imbued with hints of lingering peat smoke.
