The Tasting Notes
Rich and complex, the smoke is softened – mellowed by bursts of apricot, plump raisins, sticky date and tangy stewed apple. Orange marmalade lifts it all with a citrusy brightness.
Cinnamon, star anise and liquorice spice lead into baked dates, honeycomb and dark chocolate, with dried fruits, lemon rind and a savoury hint of salted nuts.
The finish is long and layered, with smoked applewood, drying tobacco, bonfire embers and rich, chewy peat oils.

Matured in sweet Marsala wine casks, Ardbeg Dolce combines the rich influence of Sicilian fortified wine with the distillery’s signature smoky Islay spirit.
Inspired by the warmth and character of Sicily, this limited release balances sweet fruit notes with maritime peat smoke, creating a distinctive expression that showcases a different side of Ardbeg’s renowned style. Notes of dried fruit, citrus peel, roasted nuts and smouldering oak complement the classic Ardbeg character.
