Details
For 35 years, this remarkable malt has lain undisturbed, quietly perfecting its palate and colour in a sea-washed warehouse at Islay's northernmost distillery. Literally 'mouth of the ruver', Bunnahabhain Distillery dates back to 1881 and takes its water from the clear springs trapped high in the mountain rocks, giving it a taste less peaty than its island counterparts.
Only now, on the Distillery's 120th anniversary, has this the last remaining cask from 1965's production, been gently woken from its slumbers and hand-bottled by the Distillery craftsmen at cask strength.
Distilled, matured and bottled at Bunnahabhain Distillery, this 1965 limited edition malt has never left the island and is as unspoilt and individual as Islay herself.
