Palate
Notes of mandarin and ginger with rich vanilla custard and a gentle hint of smoke. The palate shows notes of candied citrus with dark chocolate and brown sugar, finishing with dried fruits and baking spices.
Details
Chichibu Distillery, located 100km from Tokyo in Saitama prefecture was set up by Ichiro Akuto in 2008. The Akuto family has a long, storied history of alcohol production in Japan, dating back to the 17th century, and Ichiro's skill and uncompromising quest for quality continues the legacy by creating some of the most sought after whiskies in the world. The London Edition 2025 is a vatting of 10 casks of Chichibu Single Malt matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and oloroso sherry casks.
