This is probably the only Apple Sponge bottling Decadent Drinks will ever do (although, hopefully not the only Calvados they’ll do...) and they are very happy with the end result. A multi-vintage blend of two casks of Calvados Pays d’Auge from Christian Drouin. They selected an equal mix of mature Calvados from 1988 and 1991, these were married together and bottled at 32 years of age and natural strength of 48.6%
This bottling showcases everything they love about a mature Calvados Pays d’Auge - loads of apple character and rich oiliness of body, backed by subtler notes of dark fruits and wood spices.
