Details
Clynelish is one of the most sought after and revered malts, loved for its unique waxy character. For a blender however, it can be the foundation to build a blend, allowing other malts to shine. This particular whisky, fully matured in first fill bourbon, wears its responsibility for service well, with the butterscotch sweetness and candlewax texture supported by ground ginger and toasted vanilla. This is certainly a supporting character to take note of, as you rarely get to see it centre stage.
