Glasgow 1770 The Original Cask Strength Batch 3, 60%
The Tasting Notes
Zesty Seville orange marmalade and dried apricot open into toffee apple and dark fruit spice, with notes of freshly planed oak.
Rich and full-bodied, with poached pear, tropical fruit and toasted pineapple, complemented by biscuit malt and hints of marzipan, clove and anise.
Long and lingering, with notes of flamed orange peel, rich woody spice and a gentle touch of liquorice.
Details
Produced using double distilled unpeated malted barley, this Glasgow 1770 single malt was matured in first fill ex-bourbon casks before a finishing period in heavily charred virgin American white oak casks from Kelvin Cooperage.
For Batch 03, three casks were selected and married together, creating a limited release of 750 bottles. Bottled at cask strength, this release highlights the distillery’s fruit-forward house style.
