Ardbeg 1990 16 Year Old Single Cask #86
The Tasting Notes
Deliciously sweet notes of homemade fudge, liquorice and treacle toffee, followed by deep, rich chocolate and cherries, dried fruit and chestnuts. Through the sweetness, pine needles and wild mint are interwoven with tobacco and herbal smoke.
Chewy and zesty with citrus oils, orange zest, raisins, cherries, dates, almonds, walnuts, biscuit, cinnamon, and dark chocolate. Background notes of carbolic soap, menthol, sea spray, kelp, smoky tobacco, coffee, and pine needles.
A long finish with soft notes of dark bitter chocolate and espresso, tobacco, dates and walnuts.
