This teaspooned blended malt from Little Brown Dog was selected for its freshness and balance between the character of the whisky and the influence of the cask. Matured in a first-fill hogshead, the whisky was bottled when the freshness of the distillate began to balance with the maturity of the wood, before the cask influence could overtake it.
The bottler's tongue-in-cheek story behind the release includes the addition of 10ml of Mannochmore to the 250-litre cask. The Gaelic-inspired name is a playful reference to the original Ballindalloch cask marking and the story behind its teaspooning.
