Details
Black Bowmore 1964 42 Year Old is one of the most iconic and collectible Islay single malts ever released, marking the first chapter in Bowmore's legendary 1964 trilogy.
Distilled on 5th November 1964, the spirit was filled into five Oloroso sherry casks and left to mature for 42 years in Bowmore's famous No. 1 Vaults. Over four decades of patient ageing, the sherry casks imparted extraordinary richness, depth and complexity while preserving Bowmore's unmistakable balance of fruit, maritime character and gentle peat smoke.
Drawn from just five casks, this remarkable whisky yielded only 827 bottles, making it one of the distillery's most sought-after releases and a true centrepiece for collectors.
