Ardbeg 2003 16 Year Old Single Cask #2455
The Tasting Notes
Aromatic and perfumed, discover rich aromas of truffle oil and baking bread - offset by sweet notes of candied coconut and scorched marshmallows.
Balancing out the more savoury aromas is a curiously sweet palate. Swatches of brown sugar, milk chocolate truffles and ginger biscuits envelop the mouth. Silky tannins come forth in a distinctly dry mouthfeel.
Spices, marzipan, toasted nuts and of course, a symphony of peat and smoke, make for a stunning finish true to Ardbeg.
