Ichiro’s Malt Chichibu Red Wine Cask 2023 is a Japanese single malt whisky distilled in Japan at the Chichibu distillery in Saitama. The whisky has been matured in a combination of different red wine casks to give incredible depth and complexity to the spirit.

Ichiro’s Malt Chichibu Red Wine Cask 2023 has been matured in a combination of red wine casks from four different continents. The casks from France lend a subtlety and freshness to the whisky whilst the casks from New Zealand add a distinct fruity character. There are also casks from USA, which will add a richness to the spirit, and finally some casks from Japan that will add soft spice and berry notes. These different casks have been masterfully blended by Ichiro Akuto to create this incredibly complex and rich whisky.

Ichiro’s Malt Chichibu Red Wine Cask 2023 has notes of candied orange, blueberry, and licorice with a hint of honey and salted caramel. On the palate there is rich cinnamon and clove with a touch of menthol before finishing with rich milk chocolate.
