Released in 2012, Ardbeg Galileo was bottled to celebrate a research initiative that saw Ardbeg working alongside a US-based space research company. As part of the project, Ardbeg-crafted molecules were sent into space to test these micro organic compounds in a maturation experiment.
Distilled in 1999, the whisky was matured in ex-bourbon barrels and selected ex-Marsala casks from Sicily before bottling in 2012.
