Ardbeg 1998 Still Young
Details
When Ardbeg Distillery reopened in 1997, whisky enthusiasts were eager to follow the progress of its newly distilled spirit. Among the most passionate supporters were members of the Ardbeg Committee, who were given access to a series of special releases charting the whisky’s development.
Ardbeg Still Young was the second of three bottlings released ahead of the return of Ardbeg 10 Year Old. Distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2006, it offered Committee members an opportunity to experience the evolving character of the spirit as it matured.
An important release in Ardbeg’s modern history and a key part of the celebrated trilogy that preceded the reintroduction of the distillery’s flagship expression.
