Long and lingering, with persistent soot smoke.

Released in 2020 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Ardbeg Committee, Ardbeg Blaaack is a special limited edition that pays tribute to the distillery’s loyal global following.

For the first time in Ardbeg’s history, whisky was matured in Pinot Noir casks sourced from New Zealand — the country furthest from Islay and famously home to more sheep than people. The result is a distinctive expression that combines the influence of these red wine casks with Ardbeg’s unmistakable smoky character.

Created as a celebratory bottling for Committee members, Blaaack has become one of the distillery’s most sought-after modern releases.
