Released as Ardbeg Day's general release for 2018, Ardbeg Grooves is another example of the distillery's famously unconventional approach to whisky making.
Created using wine casks that were intensely charred until deep grooves formed in the surface of the wood, this limited edition explored the impact of heavily treated casks on Ardbeg's distinctive spirit. The result is a whisky that balances intensity and mellow character in equal measure.
A memorable Ardbeg Day release that showcases the experimental spirit for which the Islay distillery has become renowned.
