Details
One of three official releases from Bunnahabhain Distillery for Fèis Ìle 2019, this 30 Year Old single malt was distilled on 1st December 1988 and matured for three decades before receiving an ex-Champagne cask finish.
Limited to just 120 bottles, it was the rarest release of the 2019 festival range and was presented in a Bunnahabhain branded carry case.
Shortly before release, the bottling became the subject of discussion after the Scotch Whisky Association (SWA) challenged the use of the term "Champagne Cask" on the label. The issue related to the description of the finishing cask rather than the whisky itself, making this one of the most talked-about Fèis Ìle releases of the year.
