Details

Released for Ardbeg Day 2021, Ardbeg Scorch was inspired by Islay's "definitely real and totally not made up" flavour-breathing dragon.

Created by Ardbeg's whisky makers as one of the distillery's more imaginative annual releases, Scorch was matured in heavily charred ex-bourbon American oak casks. The release formed the centrepiece of Ardbeg Day 2021 celebrations and continued the distillery's tradition of combining playful storytelling with distinctive cask experimentation.

A limited edition bottling that showcased the influence of intensely charred oak on Ardbeg's smoky Islay spirit.
